The same subsurface precision silk-screening processes used in manufacturing custom membrane switches applies to graphic overlays. Embossing custom overlay keypads can help activate micro switches below a graphic panel. Custom graphic overlays are designed to protect a LCD display window or integrated with touch screens. Custom overlays also contain text and cutouts denoting where a connector and switch may be located on a panel.

Clear, translucent and color transparent windows are designed into custom graphic overlays as LED indicator lights, for alpha-numeric displays and anti-glare protection.

Front panel graphic overlays and back panel graphic overlays come with an adhesive backer and are laminated to create control panels. Silk-screening directly to metal panels, Acrylics, ABS or label stock are also options.
